Little People PreSchool
Little People Pre-School was established in 1971 to serve a growing need in the community for a half day Kindergarten readiness program. Today, we are still filling the need in our community to ensure all our students are prepared for the academic and social demands of Kindergarten.
Activities are theme based and provide a wide variety of hands-on-learning experiences. It is through these activities that your child can successfully learn necessary skills and concepts. At this age children learn best by doing and opportunities abound for the learning of many important concepts.
Research and educations tells us that academics are more appropriate for ages 7 and up. That may sound foreign when we see academics as early as Kindergarten. During the early years of a child’s development, play provides the best tool in teaching. Play acting, problem solving, science and math, socialization, critical thinking skills, creativity, self-discovery, self-mastery, and independence blossom through a wealth of play experiences. We endeavor to provide an organized, high quality, safe environment that invites the child to explore, create, enjoy discover, and learn.
Children are our future – our most valuable resource. We recognize the parent as the child’s first and most important teacher and endeavor to create a partnership with the family in their child’s development. Our goal is to form a collaborative effort with the parent in developing their child’s self-esteem, self-confidence, self-discipline, and readiness skills necessary to have a positive and successful Kindergarten experience.
